Jim Belushi, Bob Saget and Devon Werkheiser Lead All-Star Voice Cast;
Original Songs Recorded by 70s Super Group Captain & Tennille

ATLANTA, GA (October , 2006) – To boo or not to boo? Cartoon Network answers this haunting question on Friday, October 20 (7:00 – 9:00PM EST) with the television broadcast premiere of the brand new animated movie, "CASPER’S SCARE SCHOOL."

In Casper’s latest animated adventure, the friendliest ghost you know hits the books and heads back to school to learn how to scare people. Bob Saget, Jim Belushi, Phyllis Diller and The Simpson’s Dan Castellaneta headline the all-star cast—and teen sensation Devon Werkheiser voices Casper. Additionally, Grammy Award-winning pop duo, Captain and Tennille, voice characters in the film and sing two all-new songs.

A School with Real Spirit! Casper Scare School Synopsis

In CASPER’S SCARE SCHOOL, Casper has a new assignment: get in touch with his spooky side and start scaring "fleshies" OR ELSE! It’s a tough enough challenge for the world’s friendliest ghost. But when he goes to Scare School to learn his craft, he uncovers a plot by Alder and Dash, the cruel, two-headed headmaster, to take over the world. With only himself and his misfit pals Ra, a mummy with "unraveling issues," and Mantha, a zombie who can’t keep her limbs on, the odds are stacked against him. But what Alder and Dash don’t realize is that the power of friendliness is greater than any evil plot, and when friends work together nothing can stop them.
Spook-tacular Original Soundtrack

CASPER’S SCARE SCHOOL features an original soundtrack, with five all-new songs. Pop favorites Captain and Tennille (chart-toppers with mega-hits like "Love Will Keep Us Together") lend their vocal and keyboard talents to the disco-pop anthem "Why Does Love Make Me Feel So Good," and the ballad "World Without Fear."

CASPER’S SCARE SCHOOL is produced by Classic Media’s Evan Baily ("LazyTown"), along with Ralph Guggenheim of Alligator Planet (producer of "Toy Story"), Bob Mittenthal (Cartoon Network’s "Robot Boy"), and Sandra Walters. Award-winning filmmaker Mark Gravas, creator and director of Nickelodeon’s animated TV series "Yakkity Yak" and Walters’ partner in Kapow Pictures, directed. The screenplay for Casper’s Scare School was written by Andrew Nicholls & Darrell Vickers ("The Fairly Odd Parents," "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius") from a story by Kirk DeMicco ("Racing Stripes") and Mittenthal. Classic Media Chairman/CEO Eric Ellenbogen is Executive Producer.

About Casper
After more than 50 years, a Steven Spielberg blockbuster, thousands of comic books, 100 TV episodes, and three best-selling DVD movies, the friendliest ghost you know is still better at making friends than scaring people.
